If you login to many servers this might be irritating that remote desktop doesn’t allow you to save the password when you create an icon to connect. The following instructions will allow you to save the password in the remote desktop link so you don’t have to manually enter it every time.

On the computer you’re trying to connect from, enter gpedit.msc from the run box or a dos command prompt.

This will bring up the local group policy editor. Click on Administrative Templates on the left to open up the directory and then click on System to open that one up. Click on Credentials Delegation and in the right window you want to edit the first, second, fifth and sixth entry.

Change the top radio button from Not Configured to Enabled and in the bottom left window click on the show button. In the space below Add servers to the list, enter TERMSERV/*

Once you’ve change all of these, open a dos prompt (right mouse click and run as administrator on Vista, Win7 and Win8 and type the following: gpupdate /force to refresh the policy. It will probably prompt you to log off to complete the process.

Once you log back in, you’ll be able to simply double click on the terminal server icon you’ve created and it will let you in without the annoying message.
